New Housing Officer – Welcome Karen Scott

As you know, Natalie Abbott resigned from her position as Housing Officer with Common Equity to focus on her own property management business. We sincerely thank Natalie for her contributions to Common Equity and wish her all the very best with her business.

Common Equity have been very fortunate to recruit and appoint Karen Scott to the role of Housing Officer who has commenced with Common Equity this week.

Karen brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in both the private real estate sector and Community Housing and we are thoroughly enjoying having her in the team.

The housing officer role responsibilities remains unchanged and just a reminder they include:

  • Member tenants/organisations – Rent reviews, short-lists from new Single Housing Register, lease agreements and bonds
  • Directly managed properties – routine inspections, ingoing/outgoing inspections, vacancies, lease agreements, bonds and rent reviews
  • All tenants/members – arrears management, breach & SACAT for members/tenants
  • Providing advice, assistance & information to member organisations & directly managed tenants for all tenancy related queries

Karen’s hours are Monday – Thursday 8am – 4pm.
