Penny Gale joined the Common Equity Housing SA board in 2023. She has considerable director experience in areas of disability, housing, disadvantage and tourism. As well as holding the position of Deputy Chair for CEHSA Penny is also Deputy Chair of the Tourism Industry Council and a member of the interim South Australian Aboriginal Tourism Council. She has also served as Chair of Kudos Services, Australia’s first public sector mutual enterprise.
Penny brings deep experience and expertise in government and stakeholder relations, strategy, business development, governance and thinking differently.
Her diverse professional career saw her in roles in the private, public and for purpose sectors, as well as a political adviser for a former SA Premier.
A university dropout Penny is a lifelong learner who believes good governance is key to flourishing organisations. She is a positive and compassionate individual who believes that supporting others to feel safe and valued is an important part of a healthy society.
