Since graduating from art school, Grace has held numerous voluntary positions across the arts. Grace currently works in public programming which is a position that involves expanding community engagement and diversifying public access to experimental art. Grace is also undertaking a certificate III in Auslan (Australian sign language) and is passionate about the access to language and information for all.

Grace sees art as integral in many people’s lives, cultures, and social worlds, and is an advocate for everyone to have the opportunity for creative expression and connection with creative peers.

Grace believes in providing the best infrastructures to support artists to create—which extends to affordable housing, which Grace is lucky to find themselves in.

Grace strongly advocates that at the heart of social justice is secure, well-suited, and affordable access to housing for all without prejudice.

Access to respectful and caring community is a significant asset of the community housing sector, and with Grace’s work in community engagement in the arts, Grace hopes their experience and perspectives on this area will bring strength to the sector.

Grace is excited to bring their lived experience to the board and is passionate about being involved in advocating for the future and growth of the housing co- operative sector.
