Teri Hoskin

Member Director

Teri brings a deep commitment to the role of cooperative social housing in fostering a strong, inclusive democracy—especially during times of increased social division. With a diverse background spanning the arts, education, and public service, she offers a unique and thoughtful perspective to the Common Equity Board.

Teri followed a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts, with a PhD (by research) in Architecture and Design with a focus on technology, storytelling, and trauma. Her career includes teaching roles in visual arts theory, architecture, design, and communication at two of Adelaide’s universities. She worked in the South Australian Public Service with the Integrated Design Commission as a writer and web architect, and when living in Sydney ran her own small writing and design business.

Alongside her professional life, Teri has balanced the challenges of sole parenting with study, work, and creative pursuits. Post-career she describes herself now as an artist who reads, writes, gardens, and knits.

Since joining ISHA Inc. in 2017, Teri has played an active role in the cooperative housing community, serving as Secretary from 2018 and recently being elected Chair.
